2. PREPARING INSTRUCTIONS AND METHODOLOGIES FOR SAFE WORKING METHODS USING DIFFERENT TYPES OF MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING DIFFERENT WORK PLACES.

3. PREPARING A “PLAN FOR DEALING WITH DISASTERS AND ACCIDENTS”

4. PREPARING AN “EVACUATION PLAN”

5. PROVIDING ADVICE CONCERNING THE CURRENT MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR OCCUPATIONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE AND INFORMATION CONCERNING THЕ LEADING INSURANCE COMPANIES WHICH PROVIDE SUCH POLICIES.

SERVICES

In compliance with current legislation and subordinate legislation MediShtit – STM Occupational Health Service, Ltd provides the following services:

* Carry out a risk assessment of workplaces, including separate health and safety risk assessments for particular jobs and activities /Regulation 5 of 1999/

* Assistance in organizing specialized measurements of various work environment factors: microclimate, lighting, noise, vibrations, electromagnetic fields, electricity, earth, lightning protection systems, etc. In this regard MediShtit works in conjunction with specialised sub-contractors, who are personally known to them for their quality of work and professionalism and are fully qualified and licensed to carry out the particular required testing or monitoring works.

* Proposals for measures to be taken towards improving working conditions and to reduce risks in compliance with the requirements of Article 16, Paragraph 1 of the Health and Safety at Work Act and Article 5, Paragraph 1 of Regulation No 5 in result of the risk assessment of workplaces that has been made and under Article 14, Paragraph 5 of Regulation No 3 of 25/01/2008.

* Input in developing rules and norms “for providing healthy and safe working conditions in relation to the requirements of ”Article 14, Paragraph 7 of Regulation No 3 dated 25/01/2008.

* Inaugural and annual training of Working Conditions Committees/Groups members to ensure health and safety at work in compliance with Regulation 4/ State Gazatte, issue 133 of 1998/

* Participation of a representative of the occupational health service in the work of Working Conditions Committees/Groups within the company.

* Organizing and conducting training courses for workers and employees in respect of first aid, self-aid and mutual aid.

* Drawing a list of mandatory regular preventative checkups and diagnostic and laboratory examinations of employees, in compliance with the requirements of relevant legislation and work environment factors.

* Organizing and conducting mandatory medical checkups as required by the provisions of Regulation 3 of the Ministry of Health of 1987.

* Making an analysis of the medical checkups of workers and employees that have been carried out (the analysis is made after the medical checkups have been conducted).

* Directing persons with identified diseases or health conditions to their general practitioners for precise diagnosis; sending an urgent notification to the National Social Security Institute in the event of a doubt for an occupational disease.

* Мaking an analysis of the work-related morbidity as regards temporary disability based on data from sick-leave notes for the preceding year.

* Drawing a conclusion as regards the suitability of workers and employees upon their appointment and during the execution of a specific type of work in the company.

* Preparing and maintaining files on the health status of the workers and employees, in compliance with Article 11, Paragraph 10 of Regulation No 3 dated 25/01/2008 and keeping the information as both a hard and an electronic copy.

* Preparing and updating companies’ documents in compliance with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act.

  • A list of appointments subject to mandatory preventative medical checkup;
  • Risk assessment cards;
  • Risk assessment cards as regards manual work involving weights;
  • Physiological regime;
  • A list of personal protective equipment, workwear and uniforms;
  • Proposal of measures to restrict and reduce risk;
  • A list of medicinal substances;
  • A lecture on giving first-aid;
  • Certificates for inaugural and annual training;
  • Cards for preliminary and regular medical checkups;
  • Analysis (information) of work-related morbidity as regards temporary disability;
  • Analysis of preventive medical checkups that have been carried out;
  • Issuing certificates for suitability of newly appointed workers and employees;
  • Medical statements as regards persons under the age of 18 upon their appointment at work;

* Individual counselling of workers with regard to health and safety at work.
